Printable Map

The Hudson River School Art Trail is a project to map the painting sites of Thomas Cole and his contemporaries including Frederic Church, Asher B. Durand, Sanford Gifford and Jasper Cropsey. The full-color brochure includes a map, driving and walking directions, and printed representations of the painted views to use as a comparison with today's actual views. A copy of this brochure can be picked up at the Cedar Grove visitor center during regular hours of operation. Or you may request the brochure by mail by sending a self-addressed-stamped-envelope to: Thomas Cole National Historic Site, PO Box 426, Catskill, NY  12414. Please affix a 60-cent stamp to your self-addressed envelope, as the brochure's weight requires extra postage.

You may also download and print a pdf of the map and directions using the free software Acrobat Reader. However, these pdfs do not include the images of the artworks. Additional images and information will be posted here in the near future. If you would like to be notified when additional web pages have been added, Please click here and join our email mailing list.
