The Thomas Cole House is alive with activity throughout the year with programs and events such as art exhibitions, scholarly lectures, fun parties, and activities designed especially for kids and school groups.
At the start of each new year we present the popular “Sunday Salons” – a series of presentations that take place once per month on Sundays, January through April, at 2pm. During the warmer months, join us on a guided hike along the Hudson River School Art Trail, where you can see the landscapes that appear in Thomas Cole’s paintings. Over the summer is our annual Summer Party Benefit, and in the fall we present a major speaker with new insights about the Hudson River School and its relevance today.
Teachers, bring your students! New at the Thomas Cole Historic Site are special hands-on activities for school groups that fulfill state requirements for three different age levels. Click on the School Groups link below for more information.
For college and graduate students, we offer a robust internship program for both the summer and during the school year, earning you class credits towards your degree. See link below for details.
